A stimulator peel combines the best of both worlds—an advanced skin boosting treatment that feels like a pampering experience. Our stimulator peels from ZO® Skin Health are advanced chemical peel treatments that combine a blend of alpha hydroxy acids to deeply exfoliate and renew the skin. Glycolic, lactic, and citric acids work in tandem to stimulate cellular turnover, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and improve the tone, texture and clarity of your skin. You’ll see visible results after just one peel, while a series of treatments will give you optimal results: smoother texture, more even tone, and a brightening boost!

What can stimulator peels treat?
Stimulator peels are an ideal choice for skin that looks rough or feels dull. The blend of alpha hydroxy acids works by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, providing epidermal exfoliation and renewal. This accelerated exfoliation can improve a variety of skin concerns, including refining congested pores and lightening surface pigmentation to create a more even skin tone, while a unique brightening complex works to help prevent the formation of new pigmentation. This advanced formulation is gentle enough for all skin types. Anti-irritants and antioxidants in the formula aid in reducing the appearance of redness, thus minimizing skin irritation.
How many stimulator peels do I need?
The benefits of peels are compounded when performed at regular intervals, so for maximal benefits, we recommend an initial series of four peels performed once a week for a month, followed by a maintenance peel every 4–6 weeks to maintain your glow.
A stimulator peel can also be the perfect one-time boost to your skin a few days before a special event (although if you’ve never had a peel before, we suggest booking an initial treatment further in advance to ensure your skin responds favourably before your big day).

Your Questions Answered
Your stimulator peel treatment will last approximately 30 minutes. We’ll begin by cleansing, exfoliating, and prepping your skin. The stimulator peel solution is then applied to the entire face, during which time you may feel a tingling sensation. After 2-3 minutes, depending on the treatment intensity level, the peel solution is neutralized and removed and you’ll feel a warming sensation.
Next, we’ll apply ZO® antioxidant and growth factor serums to support the skin with anti-inflammatory and nourishing benefits and enhance your treatment results. Finally, your peel will conclude with an application of ZO® Sunscreen + Primer to protect your newly exfoliated skin. This treatment requires no downtime, and you can return to your regular activities right away.
Although we only offer treatments with excellent safety profiles, a stimulator peel is still a medical procedure that carries a certain amount of risk, and we’ll review all potential benefits and risks with you during your consultation so you can make an informed choice. There is the possibility of an allergic reaction to the materials used during the peel treatment, which could result in temporary symptoms such as redness or swelling.
You are not a candidate for a stimulator peel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have been on Accutane® within the past three months, or have an active cold sore, warts, or open wounds in the treatment area. Stimulator peels are also not right for you if you are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, have a liver condition, have an autoimmune condition or any condition that may weaken the immune system.
