Community
At Clinic 805, community involvement has always been an important part of our mandate. With the same level of care we devote to our patients, we hope to strengthen and support the community we’re so proud to call home. Some of the organizations that are near and dear to our heart include:
Festive Bricks of Giving Holiday Fundraiser
Festive Bricks of Giving Holiday Fundraiser
The event ran from November 15 to December 29, 2025, at The Atrium, Parkside Hotel & Spa in Downtown Victoria, and was free to the public.
During the event, we helped raise awareness that 1 in 3 school-aged children in Greater Victoria experiences food insecurity. Rainbow Kitchen distributes over 250,000 meals every year, including more than 6,000 meals each month to local students. All funds raised went directly toward supporting food security, child well-being, and equity in our community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting this important cause
WIN Fall Silent Auction
WIN Fall Silent Auction
In October, Clinic 805 was proud to support the Victoria Women In Need Community Cooperative (WIN) through their 2025 Online Silent Auction. This annual event raises vital funds to help empower women, trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people in our community by providing resources, employment programs, and opportunities for growth.
As part of the fundraiser, Clinic 805 donated to the auction in support of WIN’s mission to uplift and empower individuals across Greater Victoria, contributing to their ongoing efforts to create positive change and support those rebuilding their lives.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Clinic 805 team proudly wore pink to show our support.
This month serves as an important reminder of the power of early detection. We encourage every eligible woman to make mammography a priority and to schedule regular screenings as recommended by their healthcare provider.
Mammograms can detect changes in breast tissue long before symptoms appear — giving women the best possible chance for early treatment and recovery.
Let’s continue to raise awareness, support one another, and take proactive steps toward better breast health.

We are thrilled to announce that Clinic 805 was voted the Best Place for Cosmetic Treatment (Surgical) in Victoria’s Best of 2024 awards!
In a feature article, our very own Nurse Shelley shared her insights on how social media has reshaped the cosmetic surgery industry. She emphasized the impact it has on young women, often setting unrealistic beauty standards. Shelley also reflected on how patient demographics have changed, with more young individuals now seeking treatments influenced by social media. She highlighted the importance of subtle, natural-looking enhancements that boost confidence and the significance of choosing experienced providers.

Ride Don’t Hide is an annual event put on by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), the most established and extensive community mental health organization in Canada. Through a strong community presence in over 330 locations across every province and one territory, CMHA provides programs, advocacy and resources that help prevent mental health problems and illnesses, support recovery and resilience, and enable all Canadians to flourish and thrive. CMHA branches and regions provide a wide range of innovative services and supports tailored to the needs and resources of the communities where they are based. These programs and services help Canadians of all ages celebrate, protect and support their mental health so we can all thrive in meaningful and productive lives.
Every year, Clinic 805 sponsors, participates and fundraises in the annual Ride Don’t Hide event to raise funds for CMHA’s programs and services. In June 2024, we were proud to raise $8,845.55 towards a good cause. Our team, as well as our family members, biked, walked, and ran to support a world where everyone can achieve their full potential.

About
The Victoria Hospitals Foundation serves as a vital link between our community and the healthcare institutions that touch the lives of countless individuals across Vancouver Island. In partnership with Island Health, their mission revolves around enabling donations to every facet of care provided at Royal Jubilee, Victoria General, and Gorge Road hospitals. As part of our commitment to supporting their cause, in November 2025, we celebrated the 33rd annual Visions Gala — an evening that raises vital funds for local hospitals, supports innovative care, and brings our community closer together. Supporting initiatives like this is at the heart of what we do, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful work. We also attended the Miracle Gala.

Our Place is an inner-city community centre serving Greater Victoria’s most vulnerable populations: the working poor, impoverished elderly, mentally and physically challenged, the addicted and the homeless. Our Place serves over 1,600 meals per day, and provides hot showers, free clothing, counseling and outreach services, plus 45 transitional housing units. Most importantly, they provide a sense of hope and belonging to our neighbours in need.
On September 21st, 2024, Clinic 805 was honoured to attend the 10th Annual Hungry Hearts Gala. This event supported Our Place’s transformative initiative to open the first long-term women’s addiction recovery community on Vancouver Island. In honour of this vital cause, Clinic 805 donated a gift basket featuring premium medical-grade skincare goodies with a retail value of $7,200. The basket raised $3,500 in the silent auction! This event was a crucial step in making a lasting impact, and we were proud to contribute to this life-changing mission.

Parkinson’s Wellness Project (PWP) offers a place for a community to grow—a place for those living with Parkinson’s disease to stay active, to share their experiences, and to be supported. PWP improves function and increases quality of life for those affected by Parkinson’s, empowering participants through fun, safe and effective multidisciplinary programs with rigorous evidence on the benefits of exercise at its core.
Did you know that there are nearly 3,000 people on Vancouver Island currently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and this number continues to grow? Parkinson’s is a progressive disorder of the nervous system with no current cure. However, Parkinson’s-specific rigorous exercise has been shown to slow the progression of the disease.
