Because we offer such a broad range of services at Clinic 805, we’re able to combine medical aesthetic treatments like skincare, injectables, laser and light therapies with expertly performed surgical procedures and excellent post-operative care. An excellent example of this integrated approach in practice is Clinic 805’s Facelift Maintenance Program. Unique to Clinic 805 and the only of it’s kind on Vancouver Island, this program is truly the gold standard of the combined approach that we practice. A natural looking facelift performed by a qualified plastic surgeon will restore contour and a youthful look without making your skin appear stretched or pulled, and this program is important to ensuring optimal results. Here’s a look at what the program includes for our facelift patients.
Imaging
During your initial surgical consultation with Dr. Smith, you will be photographed using the VECTRA® 3D Photo Imaging system. Using special simulation software with your 3D picture, you can view the possible results of your facelift and experiment with different looks. This simulation will provide the basis for your surgical plan, and because you have already seen the result you can be confident in the outcome of the procedure.
Following the initial surgical consultation, every facelift patient will also experience a VISIA® Complexion Analysis completed by a medical aesthetics provider. A VISIA® imaging session uses multi-spectral imaging and analysis to provide a clear, multi-dimensional portrait of the individual aspects of your complexion—from texture and wrinkles to pores and sun damage—and enable our skin experts to present the optimal treatments and regimens for you.
Skincare
Dr. Smith recommends pre-conditioning your skin by starting a customized medical-grade skincare routine—which is established by the medical aesthetics nurse during your VISIA® Complexion Analysis—6-8 weeks prior to your facelift surgery. This will improve the quality of your skin and in Dr. Smith’s experience, healthy skin provides a better “canvas” for surgery. At your first postoperative visit one week after surgery the nurse will provide you with a very mild skincare routine to use for your first 5 weeks of recovery. The Facelift Maintenance Program includes VIP pricing on skincare.
Medical Aesthetics Treatments
Six weeks after your facelift surgery, you’ll meet with one of our medical aesthetic providers. At this time, they’ll evaluate whether you could benefit from any laser therapies, dermal fillers, and/or neuromodulators in addition to re-evaluating your skincare routine. You’ll also be entitled to a complimentary yearly treatment to help maintain your surgical results. Many of our surgical patients become lifelong non-surgical patients.
